GRAPE VARIETY & TERROIR

Sangiovese, Cannaiolo Colorino from clayey and mountainous soils 550MSL.
Mountains with marine sediments, minerals and sulphurous water basins.
Vineyards with spontaneous grassing, cared for like a monumental park.

Vineyards on steep terrain, handmade.

HARVEST

Late September-October, full phenolic ripening.
ONLY manual in crates.
Selection of the bunch directly in the vineyard: only first choice grapes.

PLANTING SIZE AND YIELD

Typical Tuscan spurred cordon.
4500 vines per hectare.
60 quintals of harvest per hectare.

VINIFICATION

Spontaneous fermentations in steel tanks.
Long macerations.
Aging: 12-24 months in Tonneaux of Italian wood, hard and without aromas.
Aging: bottle 6-12 months
Unfiltered and unclarified.
